More nasty jabs!!

Another fun-filled week of coffee and tea for mummy. I have been on my best behaviour all week and had lots of lovely comments about what a good baby I am. We started off having coffee with the mummy and baby group. We had a lovely meeting and the babies were a bit more active (awake) this time. After coffee we met daddy and Steve for lunch which was lovely and then me and mummy headed back to DB.

We had a nice weekend exploring new places. We caught a little ferry over to Mui Wo (another bay on Lantau Island) and had a look around. Daddy bought a bike so that he can cycle into the Plaza at the weekend. We also went swimming and daddy played football again. The water in the residents pool is a little cold for me though and i am not too happy in it at the minute, i am sure once i get bigger (and fatter) it will be nicer for me. I have a swimming seat to sit in as well, but have not used it yet.

We met the WAG's again for afternoon tea. We went to the intercontinental this time in Kowloon, so had to get the DB ferry and then the Star Ferry. It was really raining all day so we got very wet and the afternoon tea was the worst one so far!! Not worth the effort - but we did find out some exciting news, WAG Jan is now engaged to Alan, so soon she will be a W and not a G!!! As Becca and James are marrying in the summer as well, very soon we will only be the W's as there will be no G's in the group!!!

This week I also had my 4 month jabs:-( I was very good though and only cried when the needles went in, as soon as I had a cuddle from daddy I was much happier. I now weigh 13lbs 7oz (6.24kg) and am 65.5cms tall. So still tall and slender - definitely have daddys genes there!!

The big news of the week though is that Man Utd beat Chelsea again though and to celebrate this event Daddy dressed me up - see pictures at the top. Daddy was very very happy, although he did have to stay up until 3am to watch the game. I decided to stay in with the babysitter whilst mummy and daddy went to the theatre to see Queen (We will rock you), mummy was sensible and came home early but daddy stayed in Wan Chai to watch the game. He was home at 7.30am - by that time I had woken up, had breakfast and gone back to bed!!! Mummy has had a great week - she had me being very dozy and sleepy for two days after my jabs and then daddy being dozy and sleepy after the football!!!

We have had very wet weather all week - it has been quite warm (21 degrees) but very rainy - mummy explained to me that this is what is called summer in the UK!!!! Just to prepare me for when we arrive next week!!! Mummy is very excited (and a bit stressed!!) But before then we have a weekend away in Macau for Chris' birthday and another blog to write, so will speak again soon.

Love Ellie xx

Yippee!! Yet another bank holiday weekend in sunny Hong Kong!!

Had a nice long weekend with mummy and daddy. Daddy played football again on Saturday, me and mummy did some shopping and went to watch the second half over in Happy Valley. On Sunday we went for a lovely brunch and then we had a bbq in the back garden - daddy is practicing for our house warming bbq in July. It was nice to sit in the back garden when it was lovely and warm outside and daddy enjoyed himself. Then on Monday, because it was a bank holiday we went shopping. I got a new sunhat, some sleeping suits (summer ones) and some piglet pyjamas for when we are back in the UK. I also got a Baby Einstein DVD about Colours and some musical keys. Mummy got some new clothes and a pair of trainers (she had to throw her others out after the rainy weekend ruined them) and daddy got some new clothes as well. They also got watches - one for daddy for sport so he does not ruin his nice one and one for mummy so she can finally check the time and remember to feed me!!!

My latest trick of the week is rolling over. I can go from my front to my back now - I managed it for the first time on Sunday when my mummy was trying to get me to reach for my giggling bouncing bird toy (that Northern Grandad bought me before i was born). I was a bit shocked when i turned over - it was very confusing, but mummy was very pleased.

Daddy was also very pleased on Sunday as Man Utd won the league. Sandy (daddy's friend) has bought me a kit with the number 10 and Rooney written on it. Mummy says it is too big for me at the minute and will fit me as a dress, but daddy seems to think it will fit okay. Once they have decided I will add a picture of me in it to my blog!!

On Wednesday a gardener came to chop back all our garden and cut the lawn so that we can enjoy sitting out in it. Mummy was a bit scared as the man got a bit carried away, but we like the end result and we found the switch for the security light (always useful!!) Mummy and me also went swimming in the pool at the club. We tried to go in the morning, but the water was very cold and made me cry, so we are going to go next time in the afternoon when it is a bit warmer or go in the indoor pool.

The picture is of me and George the Giraffe (who is my fave friend at the minute) getting ready to go out for a walk with mummy.

Thursday 8th May

Had a fabulous holiday. KK was lovely and sunny - we were very lazy. I spent most of the time sitting in the shade around the pool and beach restaurants in my car seat. I have not used it very much before but it was nice and comfy with the sunshade over the top - i have included a picture of me in it, hope you like it. I also went in the swimming pool in my huggies swim nappies - one of which had tigger and winnie-the-pooh on (mummy thought auntie becca would have liked them!) I had some fun splashing and managed to stand up and lay on my tummy and my back - I enjoyed floating around.

KK was very pretty and we had lovely weather - I got to wear some of my summer shorts and tops which was nice. We were back very late on Saturday night but I was on my best behaviour the whole way home. On Sunday we went for lunch with Neil, Lou and their baby bump - another playmate for me in August. It was very very hot so we spent the afternoon relaxing in the a/c at home - bliss!! Mummy gave me a lovely massage and then me and daddy had a giggling session. I am really enjoying sitting up with mummy helping me up, but on Sunday I was sitting and managed to push my legs up so that i was standing (mummy held my arms as my balance is about as good as daddies after one too many beers!). It shocked me that i was standing up so I giggled, which made daddy giggle and then we both just kept giggling, until i exhausted myself and had to lay down again!!

On Monday we had a WAG's catch up - we went for afternoon tea at the 4 seasons. We had scones and jam, which were very nice and i had lots of cuddles from all the ladies.

The other exciting news is that we now have curtains for the lounge and mummies bedroom - this means it is now nice and dark when i have my morning feed which helps me go back to sleep. Mummy phoned the man on Monday morning and we had curtains made and put up by wednesday lunchtime!!!

Had another baby massage class on Wednesday. It went okay, although I really hate laying down unless I am on my change mat or in my cot. Mummy thinks I am particular and the HV said it is because I am bigger now and know what I like and don't like - hence the screaming whenever my nappy is changed in toilets - they are soooo uncomfy!!! Anyway, we managed to do some facial massage and one arm before I needed to get up and move around. We have learnt a new song though - "Peter Pointer" and have taught it to daddy as well.

Hope you like the pictures - "speak" to you next week

Thursday 1st May

Have had a nice relaxing week. On Friday we met the WAG's for lunch in Soho. On Sunday we headed out to Stanley for dragon boating and had a nice lunch out by the sea and on Sunday we went to Happy Valley and daddy played football whilst me and mummy did some shopping.

On Sunday I found a new skill - giggling!!! Mummy was changing me and daddy decided to blow raspberries on my neck - i think his beard tickled me because i started giggling. It was very contagious as mummy and daddy laughed as well, so i laughed even more!!!

We had an exciting day on Monday as we went to Central to meet some other new mummies and babies. There were 5 other babies at the meeting, Michael the only boy is the eldest then me and the other babies were born in February and early March. As they were younger they were much sleepier than me and i tried my best to be entertaining!! It was nice to see some other babies though and i am looking forward to being a little bit bigger so that we can go to some more exciting places and play.

This week also saw the arrival of 2 new playmates for me!! Benjamin Allard was born in Hong Kong on Saturday - his daddy and mine play football together, so there will be someone for me to play with when i am dragged along to the Spartan's games. Then on Tuesday Henry Fillingham was born, he is mummy's cousins baby, so it means when we go "up north" i will have a little playmate as well.

This week ended with another flight on an aeroplane, this time we flew off to Kota Kinabalu (KK) in Malaysia for a few days. The plane was a bit crowded and we did not have a bassinet seat but otherwise it was a nice flight and i managed to sleep again. KK seems very nice, it is lovely and warm. I will update you on all our activities in next weeks blog.

The pictures at the top show me and mummy relaxing on the sofa at the weekend and me laying in my cot laughing at mummy.
