Thursday 24th April

Well we have had lots of visitors this week, a man came and put up all our paintings, mirrors and daddy's remote control lights in the lounge!! Another man came and delivered the bedside tables and some other men came and delivered the garden furniture and more importantly the barbeque for daddy.

I had a lovely lunch with daddy on Friday whilst mummy had lunch in DB with the WAG's. I joined them afterwards so that i could catch up with all the gossip.

We had a very exciting weekend. On Saturday we went to watch daddy play football (Revo v Spartans so a big game) in Happy Valley. It was raining a little bit so i went in my pram with the waterproof cover on and mummy and daddy debated whether to take their waterproofs/umbrella. The door to the flats said that there was a Typhoon 3 warning (it goes up to 8 so not that scary!) By the time we got to football it was really raining and mummy had the umbrella over the pram to stop me getting wet. I slept through most of the match again (it really was not a good game), mummy was doing her best Mary Poppins impressions and nearly got blown away with the brolly a couple of times. After the game we went for lunch with the boys and decided to go shopping - we got so wet that we were creating puddles everywhere we went, mummy went in to Mothercare and the lady in the shop literally followed her around mopping up the floor behind her. Daddy and I stayed outside in embarrassment but mummy wasn't bothered. Then we queued for ages for a taxi and got on the ferry. We were lucky as an hour after we got the ferry they stopped them because of the wind and visibility!! Back in DB we had to paddle through the streams of water to the bus and we left everything out in the hallway at home to drip dry whilst we cuddled up in front of the TV to dry off. Very exciting weather - looking forward to the next one!!

We went to massage class again on Wednesday and enjoyed it a lot more this week. We were doing tummy massage which I enjoyed, but I got bored again by the time we got to the leg massage again, so decided to cuddle mummy and go to sleep instead. Mummy had been practicing during the week with the leg massage though and I do not mind it too much. Mummy was very upset that she has baby massage reading homework to do for next week!!!

Finally today we went for lunch with Zoe and her bump at the Mandarin Oriental. Zoe's bump will be turning into a baby boy on Saturday, so I am looking forward to having another new friend to play with soon.

The picture at the top is of me in one of my "Bumkins" cloth nappies. I am aware that with my recent flight to Singapore and my upcoming flights to Malaysia and the UK, I have quite a high carbon footprint for a 3 month old, so am trying to do my bit by getting used to cloth. So far I have 10 nappies in lots of lovely designs, but think for the time being we are going to mix and match between disposables and cloth. Watch this space though for some more pics of designer nappy wear!!

Love Ellie x

PS We have a bank holiday next week and we are going away to Kota Kinabalu for a few days so I might be a bit late in posting my next blog, but am looking forward to showing off the pictures of me in my swimsuit!!

Thursday 17th April 2008

Daddy got back from the UK on Friday to find me happy and sleeping. Mummy and I had been out for coffee with Sarah and Oshie and down to the park on the beach. I was too little to play on anything but am looking forward to having a go soon. It had been raining
all morning and this meant that all the mozzies had come to play - luckily they do not like breastmilk and left me alone but they enjoyed eating mummy - last count she had 40 bites on one arm alone!!

Saturday we went shopping again!! Mummy had her hair cut first, so me and daddy went for a big breakfast in the Plaza. Then we went to Ap Lei Chau which is a big warehouse building and we have bought a big bbq and garden furniture - daddy is very
pleased. Then we headed to Stanley to see the dragon boaters, daddy is hoping to be one again this year, but he is very busy now looking after me so is not sure if he will make it.

On Sunday we bought some wardrobes for daddy's suits - he has been going to work very creased for the last two weeks, but shh don't tell him!! The wardrobes arrived on Weds and the men put them together for us. Unfortunately they interrupted my early afternoon feed and sleep (they were very loud banging things!), so I was grumpy for the rest of the afternoon.

Weds afternoon with a stressed mummy and grumpy me we went to our first massage class. It should have calmed mummy down and made me sleepy, but i was already very sleepy so when we walked in I cried as mummy took me out of my Baby Bjorn. I cried throughout the first 40 mins unless mummy stood up with me - apparently massaging legs is not that easy when standing and rocking - think mummy might need to practice that one. We did get as far as lying on the towel and oil in mummy's hand, but then thought better of it and cried again. In the end mummy gave me some food so i had a little sleep - by the time everyone had finished and were busy talking i was laying on my towel, very content and ready to go, but everyone went home!! Next week is tummy massage - to help wind, so i might give that one a go - sounds messy!!!!

The pictures at the top are of me and daddy cuddling at the weekend (he has jet lag and has not shaved, so not the best picture daddy!!) and me playing on my gym - i love trying to eat anything that i can grab hold of now, so my gym is great fun!!

Thursday 10th April

We had a bank holiday this week, it was the Ching Ming festival (aka Grave sweeping) and it fell on daddy's birthday so he got the day off work, yeah!! Summer heat is finally here and we spent the day with Steve, Wijaya and Merry at the Marina Club on DB, it was very nice but very hot.

During the weekend we went shopping. We went up to Megabox to look at outdoor furniture and bbq's for daddy. That was interesting as we had to get the bus to the plaza, then the ferry to the island, then walk to the MTR, then 2 trains to Kowloon Bay, then walk through the shopping mall (obviously!!) then the free shuttle coach to the Megabox. By the time we had done all of that i was ready for my lunch again so we had to stop for lunch before we shopped and there was nothing we liked so we came home with a huge bag of sweeties for daddy!! Needless to say we got a taxi home - much quicker!!
On Sunday we went to daddy's office and went shopping for a holdall for daddy. He was flying out to London and wanted to take hand luggage to T5 - not sure why?! we had mexican for lunch and then went for a walk to find the airport bus stop and packed for daddy's trip.
So for the rest of the week it has been me and mummy. We had a chilling day on Monday, then we went to a new nurse on Tuesday to be weighed. I am now 12lbs and am 62.5 cms long!! Very impressive. We also signed up for massage classes which start next week, so watch this space!! I also scared mummy today by catapulting myself off the sofa when she was sitting right next to me - a very impressive trick, although I scared myself slightly as well, so had to be cuddled by mummy.
On Wednesday we went to the other island to meet Jan for lunch. We took the pushchair with us so walked to the ferry, then did lots of walking and shopping on the island (i got another grobag) and then we walked home. We were both shattered when we got home and i was in bed nice and early as was mummy (9 o'clock!!) I had 2 firsts today, one was putting my thumb properly in my mouth, although not for very long, was not entirely convinced. the second was the world record for number of clothing changes in one day - pyjamas until 7am feed, then another set, got dressed at 9 in my nice dress, needed to be changed before leaving home into trousers and top, then had to be changed in the restaurant into the spare sleepsuit mummy brought and then finally into my pyjamas at night - wow!!!
Well that was my week. Daddy is home tomorrow so looking forward to lots of cuddles and some nicer food than mummy cooks (pasta, pasta and pasta most nights!)
Slobby kisses to all xxx

The pictures are of me chilling on daddys birthday and me in my Baby Bjorn with my muslin on my head as mummy forgot my sunhat!!

Thursday 3rd April
Well 2 major events happened this week.
Event one - I went to the doctors on Friday. It started off well - I was weighed and am now 11lb 3oz, mummy was very pleased. But then the meany doctor stabbed me twice whilst daddy stood and watched and mummy hid in the corner. I screamed a lot and think I embarrassed my mummy in the waiting room when we were leaving. Once we were in the taxi and i had had lots of cuddles I fell asleep and felt better when i woke up, but i was still sore, so mummy and daddy gave me some strawberry medicine at night to help me sleep. Most of it fell out of my mouth as they put it in, but the bit i had was nice and tasty and helped the soreness.
Event two - we moved house. On Monday lots of men came round to the house and took most of it away with them. We were left with a bed, a cot, a sofa and the tv!!! Then on Tuesday they came back and packed up all the rest of the things whilst mummy and daddy were busy cleaning. I was on my best behaviour laying in my cot watching my parsnip and zed mobile go round - this is my favourite toy at the minute i can watch it for hours (although it only lasts 4 minutes and then mummy and daddy have to come and wind it up again!!) Then i fell asleep in my pram so the men could take away my cot.
We then got on the ferry and headed across to Discovery Bay. We had a nice walk up to the apartment and when we arrived there all our things reappeared again. I like our new house as we have a garden (which i have not been able to play in yet as it keeps raining - although i like watching the trees blow in the wind), my room is nice (but it has bright red curtains in which i hope mummy is going to change!) and i have my own bathroom where my ducks live, with my sea creature towels (that Jinny and Ranesh bought me) and my new sea creature shower curtain. Mummy still needs to redecorate my room with the stickers and then i will be all settled back in.
The island is lovely as well, we are right by the park so we can go for walks and near the club where mummy is going to take me swimming soon. There is a bus stop outside which takes us to the plaza and ferry or we can walk it in about 20 minutes (daddy can  do it quicker!!), it is uphill in both directions(??!!) so mummy is hoping to get fit soon!! We are already regulars in Pacific Coffee and we are trying very hard to avoid the blueberry cheesecake.
Well that has been my busy week. Next week should be calmer we have a bank holiday weekend and then daddy is away in London, so me and mummy are planning on chilling and exploring the island - lots of nice walks (yeah!)
