3 months old

Thursday 24th April

Well we have had lots of visitors this week, a man came and put up all our paintings, mirrors and daddy's remote control lights in the lounge!! Another man came and delivered the bedside tables and some other men came and delivered the garden furniture and more importantly the barbeque for daddy.

I had a lovely lunch with daddy on Friday whilst mummy had lunch in DB with the WAG's. I joined them afterwards so that i could catch up with all the gossip.

We had a very exciting weekend. On Saturday we went to watch daddy play football (Revo v Spartans so a big game) in Happy Valley. It was raining a little bit so i went in my pram with the waterproof cover on and mummy and daddy debated whether to take their waterproofs/umbrella. The door to the flats said that there was a Typhoon 3 warning (it goes up to 8 so not that scary!) By the time we got to football it was really raining and mummy had the umbrella over the pram to stop me getting wet. I slept through most of the match again (it really was not a good game), mummy was doing her best Mary Poppins impressions and nearly got blown away with the brolly a couple of times. After the game we went for lunch with the boys and decided to go shopping - we got so wet that we were creating puddles everywhere we went, mummy went in to Mothercare and the lady in the shop literally followed her around mopping up the floor behind her. Daddy and I stayed outside in embarrassment but mummy wasn't bothered. Then we queued for ages for a taxi and got on the ferry. We were lucky as an hour after we got the ferry they stopped them because of the wind and visibility!! Back in DB we had to paddle through the streams of water to the bus and we left everything out in the hallway at home to drip dry whilst we cuddled up in front of the TV to dry off. Very exciting weather - looking forward to the next one!!

We went to massage class again on Wednesday and enjoyed it a lot more this week. We were doing tummy massage which I enjoyed, but I got bored again by the time we got to the leg massage again, so decided to cuddle mummy and go to sleep instead. Mummy had been practicing during the week with the leg massage though and I do not mind it too much. Mummy was very upset that she has baby massage reading homework to do for next week!!!

Finally today we went for lunch with Zoe and her bump at the Mandarin Oriental. Zoe's bump will be turning into a baby boy on Saturday, so I am looking forward to having another new friend to play with soon.

The picture at the top is of me in one of my "Bumkins" cloth nappies. I am aware that with my recent flight to Singapore and my upcoming flights to Malaysia and the UK, I have quite a high carbon footprint for a 3 month old, so am trying to do my bit by getting used to cloth. So far I have 10 nappies in lots of lovely designs, but think for the time being we are going to mix and match between disposables and cloth. Watch this space though for some more pics of designer nappy wear!!

Love Ellie x

PS We have a bank holiday next week and we are going away to Kota Kinabalu for a few days so I might be a bit late in posting my next blog, but am looking forward to showing off the pictures of me in my swimsuit!!
