Big Girl Bed

Saturday 6th February 2010

Well as the title suggests we spent this morning changing my cot into a big girl bed. It was lots of fun and as expected I helped lots in moving nuts and bolts (not always to the right places) but after a bit of sweat and a few tears (I knocked the old sides down and they landed on my foot!) I have a new bed.

Daddy bought me a pillow and case to match my throw (all in pink obviously) and once we get to the UK we are going to go shopping for a very thick duvet for it and a new cover (very likely to be in pink or possibly blue if i see an ITNG one!)

I LOVE MY NEW BED!!!! I keep saying bye bye and going to lay down in it under the covers and rush into it as soon I get out of the bath or shower, however.....
although I enjoy being in bed, I am not very good at staying in it and pretty much as soon as mummy and daddy leave the room and shut the door I escape!! It has also meant that morning happens about an hour earlier now as well, although this is just my way of getting daddy used to the earlier morning wake up call once we are back in London. And it also means that I get to snuggle for a bit with mummy and daddy in bed before we get up, which is always nice!!

In the space of a week, I have only fallen out of bed once and it is not very high so does not really hurt it is just a bit of a shock!! Luckily mummy came to the rescue, gave me a cuddle and I was fast asleep again before my head even hit the pillow.

I have enclosed a picture of my new big girl bed - hope you like it
Sweet dreams all,
Love Eleanor xx

Happy birthday to me!!

Sunday 24th January 2010

Well today is my birthday and I have reached the dizzy heights of 2!!

I had a lovely morning opening lots of presents from everyone. I got lots of lovely warm winter clothing ready for when we return to the UK and some very pretty party dresses as well. I also got some lovely story books and dvd's - all of which are fab!! After I opened all of my presents and played with them (especially my scooter - had lots of fun scooting around the lounge and up and down the hallway), we had to get busy finishing off all of the baking that we had been doing all week. It was the icing and sprinkling part which I was in charge of - although mummy took control of the teddy bear cupcakes in the end, as I was doing one smartie for the eye, one for me, one chocolate button for the ear, one for me - I think mummy was worried that I might end up being ill before my party.

Anyway after my nap we headed over to the clubhouse in the condo and started getting ready for the party. We had lots of decorations up, a Winnie the pooh theme, lots of balloons and most importantly of all an indoor bouncy castle - wow!! In pink - even better!! I had lots of fun playing with all of my friends and running around eating lots of yummy food before leaping and jumping on the castle (not a good idea) and by the end of the night I was so tired I fell asleep straight away.

Now let the terrible two's begin!!
Love from the birthday girl xx
