Brum brum, choo, choo, shake!

Thursday 1st October 2009

Well the week started off well as we headed off to play group again. It was lots of fun and lovely to catch up with all of my friends again. We did some gluing and made a scary teddy bear for daddy, we had lots of yummy snacks and played outside on the big playground - lots of fun!!

We spent most of the weekend going brum brum as the Singapore F1 was on. We could not hear anything from our apartment (which is just as well as it was at night and would have kept us awake!!) but we watched some of it on TV and mummy and daddy went to see the cars race on Sunday. Mummy and I set up a circuit around the lounge and had lots of fun chasing each other round and crashing!!!

Then on Monday we had music - it was lots of fun and very loud this week - we played the drums, danced with scarves and went around pretending to be trains on a track - choo choo!! And Tuesday saw a return to Polliwogs - it was very busy but i had lots of fun running around, shooting balls at people and even went on the big curly slide which goes down two floors!!!

Unfortunately after that the week went down hill, by the time we got home from Polliwogs i was so tired that mummy took me to bed (at 5 in the afternoon) and i slept for an hour and woke up feeling very hot and needed lots of cuddles. So on Wednesday we spent most of the day at home with me sitting on the sofa under my duvet (I have attached a picture) but i did get to have some lovely medicine - strawberry flavour - yum!! Then on Thursday we headed off to coffee morning, but i still did not want to play and sat with mummy most of the time, we headed home and i had two naps(!) and tried to play but often ended up having to rest - see attached picture of me having a quick sleep on the Wii Fit board. Hopefully with a bit more rest and some more yummy medicine i will be fit and raring to go again by the weekend!

Other big news of the week was that i experienced my first earthquake - there were two quakes in Sumatra this week, which is only 300 miles from Singapore, so we felt both of them, we had a bit of dizziness with the building moving and the blinds were banging against the wall and the lights were swaying across the ceiling. Mummy was very busy trying to get me out of the way of the lights in case they fell from the ceiling (they have done before so she was not been overly paranoid!) but i was far more interested in watching Teletubbies to care that the building was shaking!! It is very sad though that so many people have lost their family, homes and belongings in the earthquakes this week and we are thinking about them.

Well on that note I am going to send you all big hugs and kisses and will update you all next week,
lots and lots of love
Miss Eleanor Mary xx
