Thursday 12th June
Well, me, mummy and daddy left the South of England to head up to the North. We had a long car journey (4 hours) but it went well and I slept nearly all of the way, except for a meal break in the middle. We arrived at Nana and Grandad's and were greeted by the mad dog (Jasper) who was very excited at the thought of a new playmate (me!!!!) Luckily, he was told that I am too little at the minute to play with and has been behaving, although I think that he is a bit jealous of some of my toys especially my baa-ing Larry the Lamb and my very own cuddly Jasper dog in a kennel.
On Saturday, Great Grandma and Grandad came to see me and then we went to the shops with Auntie Becca. It was a bit like Hong Kong with lots of designer shops inside a giant shopping mall, but these were slightly cheaper verisons - mummy and daddy bought a new big suitcase to make sure they have enough room to fit all my things in on the way home. Mummy's friend Kirsty came to visit as well with her daughter Madison, she really made me giggle, so that was very nice.
On Sunday I had lots of visitors - Great Aunt M and Ian came to visit, along with Great Grandma and Grandad again and Auntie Jo and Uncle Jonathan. We were sitting out in the garden as it was so hot (not sure what mummy was on about when she said it was cold up north!) Daddy had to catch a train down to London as he has to work this week, but after we had dropped him off we had some of Grandma's Yorkshire Puddings - mmm yummy!!
On Monday me and mummy chilled whilst everybody went off to work. We are slowly recovering from our colds so it was nice to relax. I learnt a new trick today - rolling onto my tummy, however I got slightly over excited by this and kept doing it in my sleep which meant that mummy had to keep turning me over whenever i woke up and cried as i was stuck - oops, poor mummy!
I got a lovely present this week - my own cup. I have been sulking all week when everyone has been drinking tea and I have not had any (and they drink a lot of tea over here), so I now have my own Tommee Tippee cup, my fave is still the paper ones from the coffee shops though!!
On Weds Uncle Jonathan came to visit again. Only this time he is poorly as he had an operation on his arm and it is in a sling. I was laughing at him though as he can do even less things than me - he is 33 and cannot even dress himself!!!! I gave him a cuddle better but had to be careful not to hurt him - poor Uncle J. the picture is of me and Uncle Jonathan whilst he still had 2 arms to hold me with.
Today we had a girly day out in York shopping, with Great-grandma, Nana, Mummy and Auntie Becca. We were looking for clothes for my Christening in a few weeks time. Being a very good girl I bought the first dress that I tried on!!! I liked it that much I cried when mummy made me take it off, but the nice lady in the shop wrapped it up for me to take home!! Great-Grandma and Grandad bought my christening gown for me - thankyou it is lovely and Grandma has a shawl for me that was mummies, so is very old!!! Nana also found an outfit to wear and mummy got a new top as well - a successful shopping trip in all. We were all very tired by the end of the day though. I will post pictures of my dress after my christening - do not want to spoil the surprise.
Finally, daddy went back to Hong Kong today. I am missing my daddy cuddles but mummy says he will be back in England next week and I will get lots of cuddles and kisses then. Have lots of gossip to tell him and I keep trying to talk to him on mummies mobile, but it does not seem to work as well.
Well bye bye for now
Eleanor xx
