Shopping, Sightseeing and Tea

Thursday 19th June

This week started out the way last week ended - we went shopping!! Mummy managed to buy a dress for the wedding and I came home with 2 new outfits. On Saturday we had a relaxing day chilling and going out for a little walk, in preparation for Sunday...

We had a big BBQ with cousins, aunties, grandma's etc and I met baby Henry for the first time. The weather was not that sunny - apparently this is normal weather for a BBQ, but it was lovely to see everyone. Ben, Andrea and baby Henry bought me an outfit and some headbands, which are lovely and very girly!! Although as you can see from the picture Grandad thought that if I wore it slightly differently, I could become Princess Eleanor - this made me very happy!! I also got two new dolls. Great-Grandma bought me a lovely ragdoll called Nora - mummy was very pleased about this as she had been looking for one in Hong Kong and Auntie Michelle bought me a Minnie Mouse!! By the end of the day I was very tired and slept well (but I was slightly upset as I went to bed before Henry and he is 3 months younger than me - mummy said this is because he had slept a lot more during the day)

We also did a lot of sightseeing this week. On Monday we went to Temple Newsam and saw the ducks and some sheep, then we stopped for tea at the big house. On Tuesday we went to Knaresborough and saw some more ducks and stopped for tea by the river. Finally on Wednesday we went to Beningborough Hall - we looked around the big house and gardens and went to the playground, oh and we stopped in the cafe for tea!!! This was my favourite day out as we were looking at old potraits and then we went to play in one of the rooms and had a go at making our own potraits. This was my very first dressing up session - and I got promotion, I became Queen Eleanor!!! The picture at the top shows this.

Today we went into Leeds to collect daddy from the train station as he had just arrived from Hong Kong. Before we met him we went for coffee and I got my very own Starbucks paper cup to use whilst everyone had their coffee - yippee!!! It was lovely to see daddy again and I gave him lots of cuddles and sloppy kisses.

We are 3/4 of the way through our holiday and have had lots of fun so far. Mummy says that the next week has a wedding in the North and a christening in the south - sounds as though we have more fun to come.
Love Eleanor xx
