Thursday 5th June
Well here we are in the UK. We landed at 4.30 in the morning - that is early even for me. We had a lovely flight over and everyone on the plane loved me. I slept in the bassinette which was nice, although half way through the flight when it got a bit bumpy the stewardess made me got out of bed and sit on mummy's knee with my seat belt on. Not impressed!!
Anyway London seemed quite nice from the airport. It was full of lots of people all talking different languages and was much the same as all the other airports I have been in so far, was not entirely convinced mummy and daddy had not just taken me on a long round trip. Grandma & Grandad came to collect us and we went to pick up our huge hire car - a big estate. Mummy had not driven for over 6 months so was a bit scared, but she did very well and Grandma sat in the back to keep me entertained. Grandad took daddy off to catch a train to work - poor daddy!
In the afternoon I went to meet my cousins as it was Amelia's 3rd birthday. Unfortunately I had been awake since 4 in the morning so by the time we got there I was fast asleep and missed everybody. Although how I managed to sleep through 7 children running around screaming has amazed everybody since!!
As well as my cousins and Great Granny Hand, I met some of mummys' friends this week. We went to Caroline's house on Saturday which was very nice and she bought me a cute Zebra teddy which I have called Zeddy! On Monday mummy went into her old school and i met a lot of the teachers - we managed to avoid most of the pupils!!! Then on Tuesday we went for coffee with Stef, who was an art teacher at mummy's school and made me a lovely picture for my wall at home, it has animals on it that have wobbly eyes. I will add a picture when we get home!! The picture at the top is of me and daddy with my designer baby sunglasses on!!
We have had a lovely week in the South. Daddy had flown off to Greece with work and came back with a lovely suntan!! He had to work though, but is off for the long weekend to drive up to the north with mummy and me and to see my other grandma and grandad. Mummy has warned me that they talk funny up there, but I am sure after Mandarin, Putongha, English, Scottish and Aussie (!) I can cope with anything. Will update you with my adventures in the North soon, until then wet raspberries to everyone (am practicing kisses but not quite there yet!)
